About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Warehouse Manager role based in Richmond, VA. The Warehouse Manager oversees daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing food and supplies in alignment with safety and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Organizing stock, managing inventory levels, coordinating deliveries and pick-ups, and maintaining accurate records to support efficient food distribution.
• Supervising and training staff and volunteers.
• Implementing operational processes.
• Ensuring equipment and warehouse spaces are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Collaborating with program staff and leadership to support outreach initiatives and optimize the flow of goods to meet community needs.

Qualifications

• Skills in Stock Control and Inventory Control to ensure accurate tracking and organization of all items.
• Inventory Management and Operations Management skills to maintain efficient warehouse workflows and supply levels.
• Forklift Operation skills and familiarity with warehouse equipment to safely handle pallets and large loads.
• Experience in supervising staff or volunteers and coordinating daily operations in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Commitment to the mission of addressing food insecurity and serving community members with respect and dignity.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and stocking items, and standing for extended periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certifications in logistics, warehousing, or safety are a plus.
