Warehouse Manager
Responsibilities
- Responsible for recommendations and execution of procedures involving shipping, receiving, inventory and all aspects of warehouse procedures, including communication with purchasing and sales
- Support and enforce safety programs and guidelines
- Select, train, direct and motivate employees
- Appraise performance and recommend salary actions
- Direct day and night warehouse crew and delivery drivers through
- Schedule and insure accurate receiving and put away of stock
- Insure delivery trucks are safely and accurately loaded
- Insure drivers demonstrate outstanding customer service and safe working and driving habits
- Insure all DPT rules and regulations are strictly enforced
- Maintain safe working conditions in warehouse, including safe storage of hazardous products
- Additional duties or special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Prior management experience (distribution and warehouse environment preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills with a good to excellent proficiency level in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have Prior management experience (distribution and warehouse environment preferred) Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills Strong analytical skills with a good to excellent proficiency level in Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to multi-task Bachelor’s degree preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required lift up to 50lbs and push/pull 100lbs. Ability to walk, climb, kneel, stoop, and balance occasionally. Ability to physically sit at a desk and operate a computer.
