Position Overview
The Warehouse Manager must be proactive, innovative, and analytical with a sense of urgency and the ability to work independently and as a team to strive towards operational success. Lead a team by setting productivity goals, placing inventory orders, setting up systems, and communicating within the warehouse.

Essential Functions
- Lead and develop all warehouse staff to create a positive and engaged team environment.
- Motivate the warehouse staff to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations as reviewed during routine huddles.
- Establish and reinforce operational, delivery, and warehouse safety, maintenance, compliance, and cleanliness standards.
- Manage warehouse associates, monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment.
- Verify orders for accuracy and quality at every stage of receiving and shipping process.
- Operate all equipment necessary for material handling such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other relevant equipment.
- Follow shipping and receiving standard operating procedures (SOP) for both paperwork and electronic systems processes.
- Recommend maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications to warehouses, buildings, and grounds.
- Organize warehouse space and inventory to meet safety, efficiency, and inventory control standards for storage and transport.
- Monitor drop points and remote warehouse locations and coordinate with other branches to ensure high customer service.
- Foster strong communication between employees, management, and other departments.
- Able to operate fully as a backup in all warehouse positions.
Work Experience
- 5+ years of warehouse experience in retail, wholesale trade, or a similar environment.
- 1+ years of supervisor/leadership experience.
- Forklift experience and/or certification.
- In-depth understanding of the industry and best practices for warehouse operation.
- Experience in the flooring industry is a plus.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Must be able to regularly lift to 75 lbs.
- Ability to walk or stand for a long period.
- Able to wear work boots and meet the standard of the company’s workplace safety (if applicable).
Education
High school diploma or equivalent degree.
