Responsibilities

• Lead and develop warehouse staff to create a positive and engaged team environment.
• Motivate warehouse staff to meet and exceed customer expectations through routine huddles.
• Establish and enforce operational, delivery, and warehouse safety, maintenance, compliance, and cleanliness standards.
• Manage warehouse associates, monitor work, and ensure safe use of warehouse equipment.
• Verify orders for accuracy and quality throughout the receiving and shipping process.
• Operate all necessary material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and others.
• Follow shipping and receiving standard operating procedures (SOP) for paperwork and electronic systems.
• Recommend maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications to warehouses, buildings, and grounds.
• Organize warehouse space and inventory to meet safety, efficiency, and inventory control standards.
• Monitor drop points and remote warehouse locations, coordinating with other branches for high customer service.
• Foster strong communication between employees, management, and other departments.
• Able to operate as a backup in all warehouse positions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of warehouse experience in retail, wholesale trade, or a similar environment.
• 1+ years of supervisor/leadership experience.
• Forklift experience and/or certification.
• In-depth understanding of the industry and best practices for warehouse operations.
• Experience in the flooring industry is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent degree.
