Warehouse Maintenance
About the role
A Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping a facility operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen. The role involves performing a wide range of repair tasks around the facility.
Primary Job Functions
Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage
Maintaining the building HVAC equipment in order to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly
Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems
Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
Understanding recycling principals
Operating various PIV sit-down center Ryder
Demonstrate the Company’s Core and Growth Values in the performance of all job functions
Follow all OSHA and Company established safety rules
Follow procedures
Secondary Job Functions
Maintain reliable attendance
Actively participate in departmental meetings, training and education
Assist with training other employees and providing backup
Complete other assignments and special projects as requested
Job Qualifications
Education: High School, Diploma or equivalent
Experience: 3+ Years Maintenance experience
Skills: Strong attention to detail, Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Excellent interpersonal skills, Effective time management and organizational skills, Work independently as well as in a team environment, Document management system, Analytical and problem-solving skills, Maintain confidentiality, Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement, Handle multiple projects simultaneously within established time constraints, Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite, and internet, Perform under strong demands in a fast-paced environment, Work professionally with customers and co-workers to efficiently serve our customers, treat both with enthusiasm and respect, Display empathy, understanding and patience with employees and external customers, Respond professionally in situations with difficult employee/vendor/customer issues or inquiries
