Warehouse/Loader Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate all freezer/warehouse equipment required to ship products, including palletizer, jam pool, plastic/wood pallets, speed doors, forklift, shrink wrap machine, robot, inventory system, loading docks, and conveyors.
• Complete required documentation accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Make decisions while multi-tasking with little or no supervision.
• Guide and train back-up associates to meet deadlines.
• Problem-solve and communicate clearly in written form.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Attend and participate in assigned training sessions related to GMPs, SOPs, HACCP, and SQF; apply and demonstrate obtained knowledge and follow all procedures and policies related to food safety.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines for job performed.
• Perform duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Meet all quality, sanitation, and production standards.

Physical Demands

• Ability to work continually in warm/hot (up to 100°F) or cold (down to -20°F) environments.
• Required to lift and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Required to carry items up to 50 pounds.
• Required to work while standing for periods up to 12 hours.
• Regularly required to bend, reach, pull, stoop, kneel, climb, and reach.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain certification and operate a forklift.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Effective communication skills: read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

Personal Protective Equipment

• Safety eyewear and hearing protection are required.
• Protective clothing, hair net, and gloves are required.
• All PPE related to GMPs is required.
• Respirator and other PPE may be required based on tasks performed.
