About the role
A warehouse loader ensures products are moved within the warehouse safely and efficiently, performing loading and unloading of route trucks manually or by forklift operation.
Reporting location: Wilkes Barre, PA
Responsibilities
- Ensure warehouse standards are upheld by working in a safe and professional manner
- Load and unload route delivery trucks and tractor trailers by hand and forklift
- Palletize products for loading
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and electric pallet jacks
- Handle products with proper care and storage
- Maintain inventory accuracy
- Uphold good housekeeping and warehouse standards
- Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Move delivery trucks for loading/unloading and perform truck refueling
- Handle administrative tasks such as bay mapping, inventory counts, and damaged product reporting
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (no major offenses in the last 3 years)
- Ability to repeatedly lift up to 60 lbs. during the work shift
- Must meet physical demands including sitting, standing, walking, lifting, stooping, bending, squatting, pushing, and pulling, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Warehouse or forklift experience preferred, but training is available for new associates
- Strong English language skills for effective communication with customers and team members
Pay
$20/hour + 6% or 8% shift differential for applicable hours worked (paid weekly).
Schedule
Sunday – Thursday (Fridays dependent on business needs). Start time: 7 pm until workload is complete.
