About the role

Join our Staples World Class Supply Chain Team and deliver essential products to our customers. As a warehouse associate, you may work in one of the following areas:

  • Warehouse Bulk/Material Handling Equipment Operator: Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to pick and move product up to 100 lbs within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures. Not all work will be completed on material handling equipment.
  • Warehouse Porter: Perform general cleaning and basic maintenance duties inside and outside the facility while adhering to safety procedures. Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to move product within the warehouse. Not all work will be completed on material handling equipment.
  • Warehouse Replenishment: Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to pick and move product up to 100 lbs within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures. Not all work will be completed on material handling equipment.
  • Warehouse Receiving/Putaway/Returns: Confirm accuracy of product, address discrepancies and damages, and communicate effectively with internal and external contacts. Manually unload trucks, palletize products, and operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks. Not all work will be completed on material handling equipment.
  • Warehouse Returns: Move product within the warehouse using material handling equipment, match item quantities and descriptions to packing slips, check in returned product, and tag it appropriately. Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks. Not all work will be completed on material handling equipment.
  • Shipping: Organize, stack, and shrink-wrap customer orders on pallets. Load trucks manually, lift and carry product in a fast-paced environment, and stack empty pallets while maintaining a safe and clean workspace.

As an SC2 associate, you may be moved into any of the above roles or SC1 roles as needed. Safety is our utmost priority, and you will be expected to ensure safe work practices and embrace our safety culture.

Requirements

  • Ability to be Material Handling Equipment Operator certified and safely operate necessary material handling equipment.
  • Ability and willingness to keep work area clean.
  • Inclusive approach to colleagues and customers to forge strong relationships and foster collaboration.
  • Ability to adopt safety procedures quickly and ensure safe work practices.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum three (3) months related experience in a warehouse environment; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen to the extent permissible legally.
  • Basic English language skills (both verbal and written communications).
  • If hired as a Full-Time associate, ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift; overtime may be required based on business need.
  • Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more as needed.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 70 pounds and 100 pounds by hand.
  • Must wear safety composite shoes.
  • Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
  • Prior experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack, and cherry picker.

Pay

Competitive Pay Rate: $24.50/hour (includes $2.00/hour Shift Differential).

Schedule

10:00 PM – 6:30 AM, Sunday – Thursday.
