Warehouse Lead - Weekends

The Warehouse Lead utilizes systematic approaches to loading / unloading shipments, ensuring shipments are correct, material handling, maintaining an accurate physical inventory, and assisting with maintaining an organized and safe warehouse. The Warehouse Lead position is also responsible for providing direction, training, and leadership for other warehouse associates, as well as the runners. Shift Schedule Friday - Sunday 3:30 AM - 5:00 PM Position Responsibilities May Include, But Not Limited To Responsible for shipping and receiving, material handling and movement, storage, and tracking of raw and finished products and other components into and through the warehouse and freezerVerifies incoming and outgoing quantities and description of materialsReceive trucks, load and unload material within warehouse and freezerScan product in and out to proper locationReport any defects, damage, or discrepancies. Identify damaged, lost, or missing materials and notify Lead/Supervisor immediatelyEnsure First In/First Out practices maintainedOperate forklift, scanners, pallet jack, ladders, scissor lift, and other warehouse equipmentCheck product in from suppliers and cold storage and input into AX inventory system appropriatelyAccurately load trucks with outbound products while correctly completing Bill of LadingPull and slack frozen product to be used on packaging linePick and deliver packaging items to production areas as neededMonitor truck temps per our SOPsMaintain clean, organized, and safe work areaHelp maintain proper warehouse securityProvide direction, leadership, and training for other warehouse associates, as well as runners and other ERP system usersAssist in cycle counting when necessaryBe willing to learn other duties involving the ERP system as well as work cross-functionally to support other departments. Required Skills And Experience Previous forklift and scanning experienceCandidate will obtain Mom's Meals forklift certification upon hireAbility to work quickly and safelyInitiative and ability to work with little supervisionGeneral understanding of inventory managementGood reading comprehension, basic math & reasoning skills, and basic data entry abilityGood time management and prioritization skillsGood communication and teamwork skillsComprehensive understanding of computer inventory system, scanners, and inventory systems.Ability to direct, lead, and train teammatesMust be able to stay until end of shiftAbility to facilitate processes and projects as neededBe the point person for the shift for warehouse and inventory inquiries Preferred Skills And Experience 2 years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling experiencePrevious experience working in a manufacturing and/or food distribution industry Physical Requirements Regularly required to use hands to feel, grab, or operate objects, tools, and controls while reaching with hands and armsFrequently required to stand, communicate, and listen.Occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel or crouch.Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Able to perform repetitive movementsAble to work in variable temperatures (cold/hot) Company Overview Mom’s Meals is a home-delivered meal service providing fully prepared, refrigerated meal solutions direct to homes nationwide since 1999.
