Warehouse Lead- Swing Shift

Primary Responsibilities

• Communicating with Warehouse Supervisor and employees at the start and throughout each shift.
• Ensuring that consistent practices and policies are followed.
• Fostering morale and encourage teamwork, pride, and quality performance.
• Making sure supplies levels are checked at stations for the start of the shift and directing replenishment efforts.
• Maintaining equipment in proper working condition.
• Leading a safe work environment, handling reports, and communicating situations in a timely manner.
• Ensuring that employees have received proper training and arranging for training as needed.
• Monitoring the security of assigned areas.
• Performing all tasks in compliance with safety policies and practices.
• Reporting progress and completion of assigned shift duties.
• Maintaining records of materials and items received/distributed.
• Fulfilling paperwork for assigned area.
• Restocking pick locations as needed.

Required Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) certificate.
• One to two years of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office (word, Excel, etc.).
• Ability to perform administrative work, including data entry and paperwork processing.
• Effective communication skills.
• Intermediate mechanical and mathematical skills.
• Ability to disseminate information to the company and across the warehouse.
• Ability to analyze data, review operations information, and make suggested changes.
• Ability to obtain certification to operate powered industrial vehicles.
• Ability to learn and use electronic warehouse management software.
• Physical ability to regularly lift, carry, and position: up to 10 lbs. regularly, up to 25 lbs. frequently, and up to 60 lbs. occasionally.
• Physical ability to stand for a significant period of time and walk continuously.
• Physical ability to bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, or crawl.
• May require the ability to operate and/or be certified on various powered equipment.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment which will expose the incumbent to a variety of noise and potential extremes in temperature.

Pay

$25.00 per hour
