Warehouse Lead

Position Summary

Serves as a coordinator for material handlers to ensure efficient utilization of labor and adherence to production, quality, sanitation, and customer service standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates Material Handlers to achieve production, quality, sanitation, and customer service standards.
• Confers with management to coordinate product flow and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Enforces schedules and estimated labor hours for effective job assignments.
• Reports compliance of assigned teams to operational standards and initiates Kaizen activities for process improvements.
• Participates in recommending Kaizen activities to enhance all aspects of the operation.
• Oversees the work of a small number of employees in designated warehouse areas.
• Carries out responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and safety rules.
• Meets goals and minimum standards of performance, trains employees, assigns work, addresses and elevates complaints, and resolves minor issues with management assistance.

Qualifications

The position requires a combination of education and experience. Specific qualifications include:

• Ability to coordinate and manage a team of Material Handlers.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to enforce schedules and manage labor hours effectively.
• Experience in recommending and implementing Kaizen activities.
• Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
