Warehouse Lead

About the role

Tellworks Logistics is seeking a Lead Warehouse Associate with forklift experience to oversee daily warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will lead and manage warehouse staff, operate forklifts safely, and manage inventory efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, picking, staging, shipping, and return processing as applicable to the assigned position.
• Supervise and direct warehouse floor personnel under the guidance of the Unit Manager.
• Forklift maintenance and operation.
• Filing, posting, and preparation of documents and forms.
• Data entry into material/inventory management system.
• Other clerical duties as required.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Maintain proper filing of all material-related documents within the MSL filing system.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Prefer 2-4 years of experience
• Must be able to read, decode, and decipher freight coding
• Must consistently lift, stand, bend, and rotate motions
• Must be able to read and write English
• Basic Mathematics Skills
• Pass any federal/state/local government and company-required background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to move about the warehouse to access products, and machinery and assist others
• Must be able to move and place cartons on pallets weighing up to 60 pounds
• Must be able to bend downward using legs at the knee
• Must be able to detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, estimate, and assess product
• Must be able to communicate, detect, converse with, discern, convey, express oneself, and exchange accurate information

• Basic mathematics skills (add, divide, multiply and subtract)
