Warehouse Lead

Position Summary

Responsible for coordinating the shipping, receiving, and storage of any and all materials necessary to meet the production requirements of PCL's sales demand. Additional duties include monitoring Warehouse personnel daily activities and supervising all areas of operation on the Warehouse floor.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years related work experience in Warehouse Operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• One year work experience in a leadership role
• Must be certified to operate a Forklift
• A thorough understanding of the manufacturing process and quality control procedures used in a manufacturing warehousing environment
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent organizational and follow-through skills; to include the ability to multi-task
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills in order to be able to lead Warehouse employees to the completion of their assigned job duties
• Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to relay information with tact, diplomacy, patience, and professionalism
• Good business writing skills with proper punctuation, spelling, and grammar to create written instructions, memos, and correspondence, as needed
• Ability to demonstrate analytical ability in identifying problems, developing solutions, and implementing a course of action
• PC Skills including Word, Excel and Outlook, and other corporate software programs or comparable software
• Warehouse Safety experience to include the ability to provide proper training and oversight for all Warehouse employees on Forklift Safety, Proper Lifting, and Fall Harness Protection usage
• Willingness to work overtime or on weekends, as the workload demands

Work Environment

• Occasionally near mechanical parts and in high places
• Exposure to cold temperatures in the winter and hot temperatures in the summer
• Sometimes in an outside environment

Physical Requirements

• Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, balance, reach, and twist
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• May occasionally lift and/or move up to 500 lbs.
