About the role
We’re looking for a Warehouse Lead to help guide and lead the Warehouse Team to meet all goals and expectations of the department. You will report to the Warehouse Manager out of our office in Plano, TX. This role requires you to be onsite in the office 5 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels to ensure availability, conduct regular cycle counts and audits for accuracy, implement control procedures to minimize losses and discrepancies, itemize and distribute incoming mail, and communicate with HQ regarding supply orders and inventory needs.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and train warehouse staff, including assigning tasks, providing feedback, and set clear team goals.
- Performance Management: Monitor team performance, provide critical feedback, and report on metrics.
- Operational Efficiency: Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, optimize warehouse layout and inventory placement for efficiency, and oversee the safe use of equipment.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with other departments, work with the Operations Manager on projects, and support internal customers.
- Motivation and Support: Create a positive team environment, motivate team members, and address feedback and conflicts.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements for better inventory management, and develop and maintain SOPs for handling and management.
- Decision-Making: Prioritize tasks, make informed decisions, and act with a sense of urgency to support both the team and business needs.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, stock movements, and discrepancies. Generate and analyze inventory reports to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, including proper handling and storage of materials. Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards or safety concerns.
Requirements
- Experienced team leader or supervisor
- Strong understanding of performance metrics
- Proficient in MS Excel and other PC skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Highly organized with strong time-management skills
- Effective decision-maker
- Acts with urgency and supports both the team and supervisors
- Provides critical feedback to resolve complex issues
- Skilled at prioritizing tasks and managing sensitivities
- Consistently supports multiple businesses and enhances team utility
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports.
Pay
The hourly range for this position is $28.00-$32.00. Actual compensation in this range will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, prior experience, and skill set.
