About the Role

Join AGCO in addressing global challenges like feeding the growing population and combating climate change. As a Team Leader in Aurora, Ohio, you will lead outbound operations, including check-in, matching, sorting, packing, and processing orders. You will use Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Radio Frequency (RF) devices to maintain inventory integrity and ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Identify and report faulty equipment, damage, and safety concerns to the Supervisor immediately.
  • Follow company standards and legal regulations to ensure a safe and positive work atmosphere.
  • Lead tasks such as check-in, matching, unpacking, counting, sorting, packing, and processing.
  • Teach, train, and communicate safety, quality, and productivity standards.
  • Motivate and engage operational staff to achieve facility results in a high-energy environment.
  • Solve daily operational problems with a can-do approach.
  • Be available to work beyond regularly scheduled shifts when necessary.
  • Complete required daily reporting and scan pick tickets accurately.
  • Coordinate corrugate orders and snap-packing activities with management guidance.
  • Maintain outbound aisles and coordinate picking, packing, shipping, and confirmation of orders, including large customer and stock orders (e.g., Balkamp, Family Farm, Tractor Supply, international shipments).
  • Follow established processes for Central East, England, and France shipments, including P21 transactions, paperwork, and email communication.
  • Schedule and confirm LTL shipments and process international shipments.
  • Process production orders for picking and maintain proficiency in shipping software (P21, Quick Ship).
  • Assist with packing decisions, rate-shopping, and LTL/ground shipping decisions with management guidance.
  • Assist with picking and packing during high order volumes or when additional support is needed.
  • Recognize increases in order volume and request support from other departments with management guidance.
  • Position pickers and packers based on order volume, with guidance from the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager.
  • Organize, track, and record pick tickets as they are generated.
  • Coordinate daily UPS, FedEx, USPS, and LTL shipments.
  • Oversee the daily picking, packing, shipping, and confirmation of outbound orders.

  • Frequent lifting of 50–70 lbs. from floor to waist level.
  • Frequent push/pull of up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent reaching from overhead to waist level of up to 13 lbs.
  • Maximal lift of 70 lbs.
  • Occasional carry of 20 lbs. in one hand.
  • Occasional climbing of stairs and ladders.
  • Occasional lifting to chest level of 70 lbs.
  • Occasional pushing/pulling of 400 lbs. with a hand truck.
  • Occasional pushing/pulling of 65 lbs. at waist level.

  • Ability to coach and lead a team.
  • Ability to resolve and escalate conflict when necessary.
  • Effective communication with all operational staff and co-workers.
  • Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal and written).
  • Ability to take direction, accept change, and handle additional tasks as assigned.
  • Must not present a direct threat or unreasonable risk to self or others.
  • Represent the company positively to co-workers and outside personnel.

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, work-assist vehicles, band saws).
  • Quick learning of shipping and operating systems (P21, Quick Ship).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Effective communication with operational staff, co-workers, and outside personnel.
  • Detail-oriented decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Ability to multitask, organize work, and prioritize competing operational needs.
  • Leadership and team coordination.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Three to twelve months of relevant experience in a packaging operation.

Supervisory Responsibilities

The Team Leader will set up work areas, direct workflow, allocate resources, and improve processes within a workgroup. The role reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and does not have disciplinary or corrective-action authority.

Working Conditions

Work is primarily performed in a warehouse setting, both indoors and outdoors. Noise levels vary, but there is no continuous exposure to hazardous noise. Proper lifting techniques and caution in handling materials are required for safety.
