Warehouse Lead - 2nd Shift - Monday through Friday 1:30 pm – 9:30 pm

About the role

We are hiring a 2nd Shift Warehouse Lead to supervise, coordinate and execute warehouse activities to ensure a safe and efficient operation. This full-time hourly position reports to the Assistant Facility Manager and supports customers with high quality, accurate and timely service. Occasional weekends, holidays and overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Keep warehouse up to code by reviewing safety codes, layouts and security procedures.
  • Coordinate and monitor orders, inbound/outbound loads and inventory discrepancies.
  • Assist in hiring new employees as needed to ensure warehouse team staffing levels.
  • Plan and communicate shift objectives, monitor performance and address needs with the team.
  • Collaborate with all leads to forecast labor needs to control costs and contribute as an LTO.
  • Coach, develop and ensure appropriate training of employees to manage performance.
  • Conduct performance and annual reviews on all employees reporting to you.
  • Assist with customer physical inventories/tours and offer continuous improvement.
  • Learn and understand customers and step in when needed to perform those tasks.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to respond to requests promptly and resolve issues quickly.
  • Effective skills in problem solving, planning, staffing, and executing warehouse operations.
  • Ability to lead a diverse workforce; to effectively develop employees, and communicate objectives.
  • Available during non-standard hours, access to a cell phone, and able to respond to after-hours emergencies.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, and technology equipment including WMS and (RF) Scanners.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum three years of previous leadership experience in fulfillment operations.
  • Minimum one year in an environment picking, packing into parent units, and building pallets for shipment.

Physical Capabilities and Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time through hot and cold temperatures.
  • Ability to repetitively twist or turn to drive in reverse; stand, climb, kneel, stoop and squat, as needed.
  • Ability to turn steering wheel on lift truck requiring full rotation of arms and shoulders.
  • Willing and able to safely lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uniforms that are provided by the company.
