Summary / Objective
The Wire Services Coordinator performs and leads a variety of tasks in support of warehouse and wire services operations. This includes shipping, receiving, wire cutting, parallel cutting, and reel management with a strong focus on quality, productivity, safety, and customer service. This role is responsible for coordinating daily wire room activities, ensuring accurate cuts and timely fulfillment of customer orders, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Work Hours
Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM– until production is completed with occasional overtime.
Essential Functions
- Perform and direct tasks including preparing, picking, packing, staging, cutting, and shipping of material in a timely and accurate manner
- Cookordinate all wire services operations, including wire cutting, paralleling, labeling, and reel handling
- Ensure accuracy of wire cuts, footage measurements, and order specifications
- Communicate expectations and daily priorities to team members
- Maintain an organized and safe wire room and warehouse work area
- Maintain high customer service levels with a focus on order accuracy and on-time delivery
- Measure and address effectiveness and productivity of the warehouse and wire services team
- Monitor and coach accuracy of work performed by team members
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to wire cutting equipment, order discrepancies, and workflow delays
- Answer communication regarding your area within 24 hours
- Verify work is performed correctly and in accordance with existing Work Instructions
- Improve warehouse and wire service processes through strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with hands-on work in wire services and warehouse operations as needed
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and safety compliance of wire cutting machines and equipment
- Carry out safety activities, ensuring compliance with safety policies and employee training
- Provide training and coaching to improve performance, especially in wire services procedures
- May participate in hiring and onboarding process
Competencies
- Strong hands-on leadership with a focus on training and development
- Knowledge of wire services operations including cutting, paralleling, and reel management
- Efficient supervisory and coordination skills
- Strong background in warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory control
- High attention to detail and accuracy, especially with measurements and specifications
- Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Supervisory Responsibility: There are no direct reports for this position. This role requires leading and coordinating the daily activities of Warehouse Associates and Wire Services personnel.
Work Environment
This job operates primarily in a warehouse and wire services environment. Varying temperatures and moving equipment are present. The employee may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level can be loud, especially near wire cutting equipment.

Travel
This position does not include overnight or branch travel.
Clearances And Certifications
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) required
Education And Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- RF scan experience required
- 1–3 years of warehouse leadership experience
- Experience in wire services, electrical distribution, or related field preferred
