WAREHOUSE LEAD 2:00 PM-10:30 PM
About the role
Work directly with the Depot Manager and Depot Supervisor in coordinating the receiving and processing of all inbound freight. Supervise, guide, and direct leads and warehouse personnel to ensure all inbound freight is offloaded, processed, sorted, palletized, and loaded in a timely manner. Inspect pallet quality to reduce damages and miss-routed packages. Communicate with managers, leads, and package handlers, coordinate warehouse changes, and make adjustments as needed. Assist with training new personnel as well as review current and new procedures with staff. Estimate pallet weights prior to loading to ensure trucks are below GVWR requirements. Communicate with inbound drivers to estimate volumes, assign dock doors, and ensure timely arrivals to the office. Perform other related duties as required. The Warehouse Supervisor is expected to meet performance standards set by management and comply with all company policies and procedures.

Requirements
- Prior experience as a supervisor in a warehouse and transportation environment
- Ability to lead, direct, and supervise warehouse employees
- Basic reading, math, computer, and typing skills
- Knowledge of major cities and zip codes in the states where GLS operates
- Clear verbal and email communication skills
- Ability to comprehend written and oral information effectively
- Ability to multitask and prioritize daily responsibilities
- Willingness to work an afternoon shift, weekends, and overtime as needed
- Forklift, pallet truck, and pallet jack experience
Pay
$17.75–$18.25 per hour
