Warehouse Laborer

About the role

This position requires performing a variety of tasks including operating machinery that must adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, company policies and procedures, and safety guidelines. At least 60% of the role involves driving.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver fleet vehicles, parts, tools, equipment, etc.
• Maintain inventory controls
• Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment
• Maintain quality service by following organization standards
• Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shop area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Complete daily paperwork as required by supervisor
• Re-build lights by changing batteries, installing new batteries, and performing light repairs
• General warehouse clean-up – sweeping, organizing, etc.
• Wash fleet vehicles as needed
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Pass initial drug screening & background check
• Maintain company standards post-employment for background checks, criminal record, driving record, and controlled substance/drug testing, as required
• Communicate clearly both written and verbally
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Ability to maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
• Capable of working individually and as a team with other employees
• Ability to adjust to changing work schedule and work overtime
• Ability to work safely outdoors and under adverse environmental and weather conditions
• Capable of frequently lifting at least 50 pounds; manual labor may be required
• Ability to operate hand/power tools
• Ability to work from elevated platforms, ladders, or truck beds

Qualifications

• Forklift Certification (desired)
• High School Diploma/GED (desired)
