About the Role

Responsible for working directly with the Warehouse Manager to coordinate shipping, receiving, and inventory by utilizing knowledge of equipment, procedures, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
• Perform inbound and outbound inspections for all equipment leaving the warehouse.
• Assist the manager with inventory management at the facility.
• Maintain inventory of all tools, materials, and equipment entering and leaving the warehouse.
• Interpret specifications and work orders.
• Requisition, obtain, and distribute supplies and materials.
• Assist with resolving problems related to Warehouse Management.
• Read, prepare, collect, and maintain reports.
• Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
• Fulfill project requests for tooling and rigging prior to mobilization and support multiple simultaneous active projects’ tooling and rigging needs.
• Coordinate with the Facility/Warehouse Manager to set up layout and ensure efficient space utilization.
• Maintain standards of health, safety, hygiene, and security.
• Manage inventory and reconcile with data storage systems.
• Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided.
• Coordinate equipment necessary to offload, move, and transport tools, materials, equipment, shipping containers, and other items around the yard and to/from project sites, yard, and original equipment manufacturers.
• Maintain and repair small engines.
• Track calibration requirements and associated documentation for tooling.
• Ship and receive tooling via UPS/FedEx and LTL carriers.
• Inspect rigging as required.
• Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project-specific regulations.
• Actively participate in daily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors when on-site.
• Set a personal example of safe behavior.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Perform basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using units of weight measurement and volume.
• Apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
• Work within precise standards of accuracy and follow set procedures and standards.
• Maintain in-depth relations with all team members and your supervisor.

Requirements

• 4+ years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High school diploma or GED certification (preferred).
• Construction knowledge a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred).
• Experience using basic power and hydraulic tools, as well as understanding of rigging and small engines.
• Inventory management experience.
• Intermediate computer operation skills and familiarity with internet-based program navigation.
• Experience in industrial/renewable energy construction or maintenance.
• Hydraulic tooling certifications preferred.
• Rigging inspection certification preferred.

Physical Demands

• Work up to a 12-hour shift doing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outside conditions.
• Maintain physical strength and stamina; use arms, hands, and legs fully.
• Push, pull, and frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Stoop, kneel, balance, crouch, crawl, and climb to perform job tasks.
• Stamina to perform tasks repetitively and continuously for several-hour intervals.
• Work in uncontrolled environmental conditions with constant changes in weather and site conditions.
• Moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (e.g., safety-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest).
• Move in and around confined, cluttered, and uneven areas.
• Work at heights and comply with all safety and fall-protection requirements; wear and utilize all required safety equipment.
• Evaluate information based on measurable standards and see details in objects or drawings.
• Recognize slight differences in shapes and shadings.
• Visualize objects in three dimensions from drawings.
• Maintain good balance and work at heights.
• See well (either naturally or with correction).
• Hear well (either naturally or with correction).
• Coordinate the use of eyes, hands, and feet.

Schedule

This is a full-time position typically scheduled to work 50 hours per week. Schedule is subject to project requirements.

Travel

Travel required up to 90%. Position requires presence directly on the project site location with intermittent travel to residence of record.

Pay

$30.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
