About the role

The Warehouse and Inventory Specialist supports the day-to-day warehouse and inventory operations to ensure accurate tracking, proper handling, and efficient movement of materials within the distribution center.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records for non-merchandising items, including warehouse consumables, office supplies, warranty materials, cases, boxes, and related supplies.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory audits to ensure alignment between physical stock and system records.
  • Identify, research, and assist in resolving inventory discrepancies, including shortages, overages, and damaged items.
  • Receive, inspect, and unload incoming materials; verify shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and bills of lading.
  • Distribute incoming mail and merchandise to appropriate associates or departments in a timely manner.
  • Pick, pack, label, and stage outbound shipments in accordance with shipping requirements.
  • Prepare and ship Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) to manufacturers for repair, replacement, or credit, as required.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, in compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain forklift certification records and support equipment upkeep documentation.
  • Ensure proper stock rotation and organization of warehouse locations to support efficiency and safety.
  • Manage site-level hazardous waste activities, including proper storage, documentation, permitting, and coordination of disposal in accordance with federal and state regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment in compliance with OSHA and internal safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Active, valid driver’s license required.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and warehouse safety practices.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English instructions, correspondence, and documentation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Pay

The expected hourly pay range for this position is $20.00– $22.00 per hour, based on factors such as experience, skills, and role requirements.

Schedule

This role is compensated on an hourly basis.
