Responsibilities
- Assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment.
- Records shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability.
- Receives and unpacks materials and supplies.
- Reports damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record-keeping purposes.
- Acts as primary and often sole contact for shipping and receiving.
- Completes shipping and receiving reports.
- Maintains vendor and internal department relationships to ensure communication of shipping/mailing issues.
- Operates UPS shipping equipment & prepares packages for pickup.
- Accurately completes mailing paperwork, QC and manages mailing jobs, and ships customer proofs.
- Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Completes cycle counts and fills replenishments.
- Delivers/routs items to departments or delivery locations.
- May deliver roll stock to presses.
- Processes required customer returns and coordinates inter-plant returns of product or equipment.
- Resolves all tasks and responds to notes assigned to shipping (such as freight shipping quotes, split ship requests, special handling etc.) in a timely manner, documenting all steps.
- Works with various computer programs such as SAP, WM (Warehouse Materials), Lotus Notes, Excel, RF Radios, Scanners, DSI, and Keywill, entering tracking numbers/proofs/other data.
- Safely operates pallet jack, forklift, Vaculux, T-wrapper, Roll Clamp Truck, RC Trucks, TSP Trucks, and banding equipment.
- Completes end of day transactions in Ship It and Keywill.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED plus 1-year inventory control/cycle counting experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Intermediate to advanced skills with SAP.
- Experience with life equipment (Reach Lift, Order Picker, electric pallet jack, and counterbalance).
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED plus 2-years inventory control/cycle counting experience.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Ability to compare and verify paper documents to system and physical product.
Pay
The compensation range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00 hourly. This position will be eligible for an annual performance incentive plan. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience, and take into account internal equity.
