About the role
The Associate, Supply Logistics, is responsible for managing supply inventory levels through data analytics and effective operation of replenishment systems. This role ensures product availability for study execution, optimizes supply chain efficiency, and maintains alignment with customer expectations through proactive planning, coordination, and problem resolution.
Responsibilities
- Purchase routing, non-discretionary materials and supplies.
- Check deliveries of materials ordered and shipments received. Within prescribed limits, take actions to ensure on-time delivery of materials.
- Cook back returns of rejected or unsuitable orders.
- Monitor and oversee inventory systems to ensure consistent product availability and accuracy.
- Plan, implement, and control the efficient flow and storage of goods and consumables.
- Identify and communicate trends, shifts in demand, or risks that may impact stock levels, inventory performance, or create operational challenges.
- Compile, record, and track pertinent purchasing activities and pricing data to identify and pursue cost saving opportunities.
- Act as a liaison between operating groups, vendors, and procurement.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) recommended.
- Experience: Two to four years’ related experience and/or training. Supply chain management, inventory management, and/or IT experience preferred.
- Qualifications: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
- Computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite), commensurate with essential functions, including the ability to learn a validated system.
- Communication skills: Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels inside and outside the organization.
- Problem-solving skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret inventory and demand data.
- Customer service focus: Demonstrated strong customer service focus.
- Decision-making and prioritization: Ability to work with minimal supervision, make decisions, and manage multiple tasks and priorities to achieve goals.
- Safety awareness: Ability to ensure a safe working environment by observing all safety procedures and working methods by making proper use of protective clothing and equipment, and by reading, understanding, and following all safety documents issued or notified of.
- Compliance: Ability to ensure the integrity of the studies and fulfill the regulatory agencies' requirements by performing the activities according to the Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Business Operating Procedures (BOP) and the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) rules.
- Work authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States without a sponsor visa now or in the future.
Pay and Benefits
The pay for this position is $19.00-$22.00/hr. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
