About the role
Ryder is hiring Temporary to Permanent Warehouse Associates in Whitestown, Indiana. Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly, Hourly Pay $20.20 per hour, Shift Premium: $1.50 per hour when working 2nd shift, Schedule: 2nd Shift 5:00 pm - 3:00 am Tuesday- Friday.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates activities with clerks from other floor areas, the customer and/or other suppliers as needed.
- Using the location's WMS system updates area or shift metrics as needed.
- Generates daily, weekly or monthly reports, memos, and summaries often of a technical and/or confidential nature.
- Floor work and additional duties as assigned.
- Maintains filing systems and documents.
- Gathers from and provides information to floor employees in his/her area of support.
- Captures and distributes information to floor employees in his/her area of support.

- Coordinates activities/meetings/communication for the specific area or shift.
- Performs other duties as assigned depending on area supported or if location specific.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) year or more clerical or warehouse experience preferred.
- One (1) year or more experience operating forklift equipment preferred.
- One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates customer service skills.
- Able to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
- Able to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Flexible to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
- Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
