Warehouse Inbound Associate - 1st Shift
Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment, including warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management, and demand, supply, and manufacturing planning. Warehouse Operations performs and controls manual or automated tasks for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product, such as receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, and delivery.
About the role
The Lead Associate, Warehouse Operations supports the Warehouse Supervisor by managing inbound operations on the warehouse floor and facilitating effective warehouse operations through direction of warehouse staff. This role assists in coordinating receipt of shipments, scheduling incoming trucks, delegating work among staff, and producing reports on workforce productivity and quality. Additionally, the Lead Associate communicates with external customers to address disruptions, provide delivery updates, and ensure satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Follows standard operating procedures to assess inventory levels, submit orders, and audit warehouse operations to facilitate successful activities.
- Directs workflows on the warehouse floor, including unloading, receiving, product put-away, and managing delivery schedules.
- Analyzes internal data and reports on productivity and efficiency to identify performance trends.
- Coordinates with Warehouse Supervisors to align on warehouse and inventory priorities in support of operational objectives.
- Assists in inbound workload forecasting through historical and trend analysis to optimize labor utilization.
- Supports inventory management, stocking, and shipping as needed.
Qualifications
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
- 4+ years of experience preferred
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred
- Previous material handling equipment (MHE) experience required; Order Selector and Reach experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and follow-up skills preferred
- Proficient in AIMS preferred
- Good communication skills
- Radio frequency (RF) scanner and/or voice-to-pick experience highly preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for the entire shift
- Must be able to work overtime with little or no advance notice
- Comfort working with heights of 20-30 feet regularly
- Adherence to site safety regulations, including wearing required personal protective equipment (e.g., steel-toed safety shoes, MHE safety harness)
- Aptitude to work in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting hourly quotas and performance standards
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment with limited supervision and an emphasis on customer satisfaction
- Ability to comprehend and accurately process paperwork in accordance with policies and procedures
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and general computer skills desired
- Flexibility, adaptability, and good multi-tasking skills

Pay
Hourly rate: $20.50
Schedule
- Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Overtime may be required based on business needs
