Monday - Friday: 3:00am - 11:30am/shift completion
Overtime is mandatory daily
About the Role
Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment, including warehousing, fulfillment, transportation, inventory management, demand, supply, and manufacturing planning.
Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing and controlling manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This includes functions such as receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, and delivery. The role ensures the efficient flow of products from receipt to shipment for internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Unload trucks in the Inbound section using a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) or equivalent devices to remove pallets from trucks.
- Participate in the inbound operations team for receiving and verification of inbound freight.
- Use the Manhattan Warehouse Management System to check in products; follow regulations for storing refrigerated products when applicable.
- Store products in warehouse locations using order pickers or other devices.
- Pick products from warehouse locations and load them into outbound trucks.
- Operate material handling equipment as required (e.g., clamp, order picker, forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, walkie rider).
Requirements
- 1-2 years of inbound warehouse experience preferred.
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for the entire shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Comfort working at heights of 20-30 ft regularly.
- Good written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office preferred.
- Aptitude to learn all inbound functions successfully to be fully cross-trained.
- Able and willing to work overtime as dictated by business needs.
- Willing to perform other warehouse tasks (e.g., picking, packing, sweeping).
- Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to read complex sets of numbers, distinguish differences in similar alpha-numeric characters, and perform basic math operations without errors.
- Able to maintain concentration on tasks in medium to high noise levels from equipment and the warehouse environment.
