About the role
Enhance product workflow by organizing and maintaining warehouse conditions along with continuous product flow to individual lines.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload trucks.
- Maintain organization of warehouse area.
- Receive, unpack, check, label, and store/organize raw material for production.
- Operate HI-LO (license must be on person during working hours per OSHA + MIOSH requirements) and hand truck equipment for unloading trucks and transporting materials.
- Keep production lines filled with a goal of point-of-use storage.
- Organize and store all material in assigned areas.
- Enter packing slips into Syteline (receiving via computer).
- Maintain recycle and trash areas in the dock area; manage trash pick-up.
- Facilitate recyclable packing and returnable totes.
- Monitor and communicate needs for min/max system (e.g., cardboard, fittings).
- Collect, store, and keep records of scrap material.
- Identify common-sense solutions for reducing inventory costs and handling charges.
- Assist with product transfers between plants via company truck.
- Monitor and verify all tags on containers and barrels.
- Promote harmonious, productive working relationships with colleagues and vendors.
- Project a positive company image through proper dress (polo shirt and long pants) and high integrity during customer and vendor visits.
- May operate Byrne Van as needed (for Byrne employees only).
- Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License and good driving record.
- Hi-Lo License must be obtained within 6 months of transfer or employment and maintained.
- Ability to lift up to 77 pounds.
- Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.
- Prolonged sitting, typing, and standing; may require stooping, crawling, or walking.
- Specific vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Qualifications

- Effective communication with internal and external customers, including vendors, employees, and leadership.
- Good organizational skills with a focus on accuracy.
- Understanding of count verification and material location.
- Ability to adhere to FIFO system.

- Quick learner and independent decision maker.
- Continuous improvement oriented.
Skills
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- PMP certification desired.
Schedule
8 am–5 pm, Monday–Friday (overtime may be required during the week or on Saturdays).
