About the role

As a Warehouse Selector, you’ll pick, gather, and organize product to prepare orders for delivery to local customers. This role is ideal for upbeat individuals interested in staying active and fit while earning above-average income.

Responsibilities

• Pick various items by using order sheets or an audio headset
• Stack items on a pallet for wrapping and loading at the bay doors
• Ensure accuracy to orders while adhering to safety standards
• Operate a double walkie-rider or electric pallet jack to remove cases of products from storage racks and place on pallet; apply selection labels to appropriate cases
• Utilize proper wrapping techniques to ensure safety of product and prevent damages
• Inform Supervisor of any differences in case quantity and/or description
• Perform equipment inspections and complete appropriate forms
• Frequently and safely lift varying case weights, shapes, and heights
• Follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures

Physical demands

• Continually stand, bend, pull, lift, and pivot up to 90% of shift
• Walk between 6-12 miles per day on surfaces including concrete, tile, and carpet
• Frequently lift product weighing between 1–60 lbs. or more
• Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead
• Work on multiple levels of varying height
• Safe handling of sharp objects including box-cutting tools

Work environment

• Frozen environment (about -20° to 0°F)

Pay

Earn $24.00 per hour plus a $2.00 freezer premium, totaling $26.00 per hour. Additional earning potential after training, with a $1.00 night-shift premium bringing the starting rate to $27.00 per hour.

Schedule

• Full-time, night shift with a 7:00 PM start time
• 10–12 hour shift length
• 4 to 5 day work week (Sunday required)
