Ryder is hiring a Permanent Stand-Up Forklift Operator in Minster, Ohio.

About the role

Warehouse Forklift Operators / Material Handlers work in clean, organized, and well-run facilities to provide the safest supply chain environment. Products handled include yogurt. Equipment used: stand-up forklifts.

Pay

  • Base pay: $23.00 per hour
  • $0.50 increase after 6 months and 1 year
  • Overtime pay: $34.50 per hour
  • Productivity incentives: eligible to earn up to an extra $10/hour
  • Monthly attendance bonuses
  • Sign-on bonus: $1,000 paid in four installments at 30, 60, 90, and 180 days
  • Daily pay access: get your pay when you need it

Schedule

  • Day shift options (choose one):
    • Wed–Sat, 4:30 am – 4:00 pm
    • Wed–Sat, 5:30 am – 5:00 pm
  • 44–55 hours per week
  • 11-hour shifts
  • 2-month schedule provided in advance for family planning

Responsibilities

  • Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
  • Operate within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
  • Accurately pick, pack, audit, induct totes, stage products, and load/unload trucks
  • Handle day-to-day paperwork (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
  • Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core production hours
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One (1) year or more of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
  • Valid forklift operator’s license/certification
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work within a diverse environment and maintain professional relationships at all levels
  • Highly thorough, dependable, and punctual with a good attendance record
  • Works independently with minimal supervision and demonstrates initiative
  • High level of accuracy, even under pressure
  • Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Must follow health and safety methods
  • Flexible schedule availability for various shifts
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices
