Ryder is hiring a Permanent Stand-Up Forklift Operator in Minster, Ohio.
About the role
Warehouse Forklift Operators / Material Handlers work in clean, organized, and well-run facilities to provide the safest supply chain environment. Products handled include yogurt. Equipment used: stand-up forklifts.
Pay
- Base pay: $23.00 per hour
- $0.50 increase after 6 months and 1 year
- Overtime pay: $34.50 per hour
- Productivity incentives: eligible to earn up to an extra $10/hour
- Monthly attendance bonuses
- Sign-on bonus: $1,000 paid in four installments at 30, 60, 90, and 180 days

Schedule
- Day shift options (choose one):
- Wed–Sat, 4:30 am – 4:00 pm
- Wed–Sat, 5:30 am – 5:00 pm
- 44–55 hours per week
- 11-hour shifts
- 2-month schedule provided in advance for family planning

Responsibilities
- Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
- Operate within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
- Accurately pick, pack, audit, induct totes, stage products, and load/unload trucks
- Handle day-to-day paperwork (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
- Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core production hours
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One (1) year or more of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
- Valid forklift operator’s license/certification
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work within a diverse environment and maintain professional relationships at all levels
- Highly thorough, dependable, and punctual with a good attendance record
- Works independently with minimal supervision and demonstrates initiative
- High level of accuracy, even under pressure
- Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Must follow health and safety methods
- Flexible schedule availability for various shifts
- Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices
