Warehouse Forklift Operator Material Handler

Ryder is hiring a Permanent Stand-Up Forklift Operator in Minster, Ohio.

Pay

• Base pay: $23.00 per hour
• $0.50 increase after 6 months and 1 year
• Overtime pay: $34.50 per hour
• Productivity incentives: Eligible to earn up to an extra $10/hour

• Sign-on bonus: $1,000 paid in four installments at 30, 60, 90, and 180 days

Schedule

• Build your perfect schedule with flexible options on the Day shift:
• Option B: Wed-Sat 4:30am - 4:00 pm
• Option B: Wed-Sat 5:30am - 5:00 pm
• 44-55 hours per week
• 11-hour shifts
• 2-month schedule given in advance for family planning

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Accurately pick and pack, audit, tote induction, stage products, and load/unload trucks
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during core production hours
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid forklift operator's license/certification
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Ability to work within a diverse work environment
• Highly thorough and dependable
• Must be punctual with a good attendance record
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision
• Possesses a high degree of initiative
• Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Must work using health and safety methods
• Must be available to work on a flexible schedule on various shifts
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices
