Warehouse Forklift Operator

About the role

Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Dekalb, Illinois. This position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career path that prioritizes safety and employee satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Auditing, staging, and loading/unloading of products and trucks.
• Handling daily paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.
• Providing technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience.
• A valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• An ability to work in a diverse work environment.
• A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• The ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Punctuality and good attendance record.
• Initiative and a willingness to learn new skills.

Qualifications

Some positions may require additional screening, including employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

Skills

Highly thorough and dependable, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and demonstrate a high degree of accuracy, even under pressure.

Pay

Hourly Pay: $20.30 per hour
Additional Pay: $2.00 per hour added when assigned to E shift

Schedule

E Shift; Monday - Friday; 5:15 PM - 1:45 AM
