PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Shipping Industrial Truck Operator is responsible for maintaining and driving forklifts, moving product, equipment, or materials in the warehouse and in and out of trucks.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Operate industrial truck to perform transporting assignments in designated locations according to prescribed methods.
- Transport material to and from storage areas, warehouse, trucks, machines and loading docks.
- Stacks and unstacks pallets of cans.
- Rebuilds pallets of cans, as needed.
- Fills out forms, checks identification, counts and/or weighs materials.
- Inputs and extracts information in computer system to generate appropriate paperwork.
- Handles skids, pallets, chipboard, top frames, drums or other material.
- Handles and dumps scrap, spoilage or trash.
- Performs prescribed preventative maintenance checks on industrial trucks.
- Maintains the highest level of housekeeping in assigned areas.
- Able to understand and execute all loading procedures as they apply to each individual customer.
- Able to recognize defective product during loading and transportation process.
- Communicates issues with incoming product immediately and follows up.
- Performs other duties, as assigned
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Familiar with personal protective equipment.
- Experience in manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to navigate computer-based programs.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Able to stand for a long duration in excess of 8 hours.
- Able to bend over and rotate body repeatedly.
- Able to lift to 40 pounds.
- Able to withstand heat, cold, vibrations, odors, fumes, and loud noise.
- Able to climb stairs frequently.
- Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, sitting, standing, walking, and use of foot pedals.

COMPENSATION
Ardagh Metal Packaging offers a starting hourly base of $25.14 per hour for this role. The company also provides a Success Share Bonus that is dependent on the plant meeting certain metrics and targets.
