Ryder is hiring Forklift Operators and Material Handlers in Lansing, Michigan. The position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
- Auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks.
- Dealing with day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
- Providing technical and maintenance support for different aspects of the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience.
- A valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- The ability to be a team player and work within a diverse work environment.
- The ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
- The ability to work within a diverse work environment.
- The ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
- The ability to work using health and safety methods.
- The ability to work on a flexible schedule on various work shifts.
- The ability to perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy, even under pressure.
- The ability to be punctual and maintain a good attendance record.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- The ability to demonstrate a high level of initiative.
- The ability to be highly thorough and dependable.
Qualifications

Pay
- Hourly pay range: $18.72 - $19.15 per hour.
- Overtime pay range: $28.08 - $28.72 per hour.
- Shift premium: $1.00 for third shift work.
Schedule
- Third Shift: Sunday-Thursday, 10:30pm-7:00am.
- Occasional Fridays as needed.
