Warehouse Floater (2nd Shift)

About the role

The Warehouse Floater (2nd Shift) position is available in Hilbert, Wisconsin. This full-time role operates on a rotating schedule from Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM - 11:00 PM, with frequent overtime opportunities. The hourly rate is $22.50 base plus a 10% shift differential, totaling $24.75 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Stacking machine within the Warehouse to meet customer expectations
• Use fork lift to return product to racking
• Use appropriate material handling equipment to move product and materials from/to designated locations
• Efficiently load/unload and transport product
• Aid in daily housekeeping and maintenance of the department
• Strive for 100% compliance concerning safety observations
• Perform miscellaneous activities as directed to support the efficient operation of the department
• Be flexible with regards to working in any other positions in the warehouse as needed

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience working in a warehouse setting preferred but not required
• Prior forklift experience preferred
• Dependable and show a stable work history
• Good written and verbal skills
• Basic math, language, and reading skills; basic computer skills may be required
• Maintain a clean and safe environment

Physical Demands

• Must be able and willing to work in an environment that is not climate controlled
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently when working as a Stacker
• Stand on feet for full 10-hour workday
• Adjust body position to bend, stand, walk, turn, and pivot
• Read and comprehend shipping and receiving reports and pick slips
• Make minor decisions based on standard practice

Working Environment

The environment includes exposure to moving equipment, moderate to loud noise levels, and required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hats, and hairnets. The work is performed in a food manufacturing facility with variable temperatures — cooler warehouse areas and warmer production zones.
