Responsibilities
- Uses power industrial equipment to load and unload, move or stack materials or products;
- Operates manual or electric carts in order to fill orders;
- From the receiving area, scan and count items and load on cart;
- Stock items appropriately by location and quantity;
- Receive merchandise from vendors and other stores and put them in the proper location on the shelves;
- Check off merchandise as received;
- Correct mistakes found on the inventory count sheet;
- Aid in pulling parts during busy times;
- Work with stock manager to address any problems with orders;
- Perform miscellaneous projects and other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years experience operating power industrial equipment;
- Accurately follow directions, both written and verbal;
- Understand map locations;
- Sort by alpha or numeric;
- Maintain individual productivity and quality standards according to department requirements;
- Focus and remain on task in a fast-paced environment;
- Attention to detail;
- Great communication skills;
- Time management skills;
- Able to work well under pressure;
- Able to work well with other staff members and supervisors;
- Open availability, flexible and able to work various shifts and over time;
- Familiarity with safety measures in a warehouse;
- Maintain and promote workplace safety.
