Warehouse/Driver (Non-CDL)
Pay Rate starting at $22 an hour
About the Role
Warehouse/Driver associates at Famous Supply are responsible for warehouse and driving duties. Non-CDL Drivers make deliveries to customer shops and/or job sites using a 26-foot box truck with a lift gate. Each morning, the driver’s route is uploaded onto a company-provided smartphone for navigation. Drivers assist with loading their truck and reviewing orders for accuracy before delivery. Driver associates also assist in the warehouse as needed. Drivers handle large products such as water heaters, furnaces, and showers.
Responsibilities
- Warehouse:
- Ensure product is handled with care to prevent damage
- Maintain attention to detail for accurate task completion
- Keep warehouse clean, neat, and organized
- Unload trucks
- Receive material
- Put-away of material
- Pick customer orders
- Stage customer orders for delivery
- Load customer delivery trucks
- Driver:
- Help load truck
- Use smartphone to navigate to stops on-time
- Unload materials for customer
- Verify delivery for accuracy
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service
- Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
Requirements
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for the majority of an 8-hour day
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Acceptable driving record
- Ability to drive a 26’ box truck safely and effectively
- Valid driver’s license (CDL not required)
- Ability to use a smartphone
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift experience
- Customer service experience
- Building industry experience and requisite product knowledge
- Experience working in a warehouse
- Experience using RF scanners
