About the role

Best-One Tire & Service is looking for a dependable Delivery Driver who enjoys being on the road, working with customers, and being part of a team that gets the job done. You’ll safely operate a box truck under 26,000 pounds—no CDL required—while delivering and unloading products, helping in the warehouse, and providing the kind of customer service that creates raving fans.

What You'll Do

• Safely operate a box truck less than 26,000 pounds. (CDL not required)
• Picking up, driving, delivering and unloading per daily designated routes.
• Customer service – deliver product, unload product, accept payments, record check # or other payment method on invoice, take customer complaints.
• Monitor the need for maintenance or major repairs by completing the Pre & Post Trip Inspection checklist for each trip.
• Maintain safe operation and clean appearance by complying with company operational policies, procedures, and standards.
• Interface with shipping and receiving personnel to ensure timely deliveries, including pulling orders, receiving and putting away product.
• Ability to consistently follow store policies and procedures.
• Ability to read and complete instructions.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced customer service-oriented environment.
• Team-Player: Works well as a member of a group.
• Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well.

What We're Looking For

• Authorized to work in the USA and at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving history.
• Ability to pass a state Department of Transportation medical exam.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Some distribution supply experience preferred.
• Some computer skills preferred, data entry skills a plus.
• Commitment to service beyond the expectations of our customers.
• Able to perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions.
• Lifting: Frequent lifting over 50 pounds from ground to chest high.
• Frequent squatting, bending, and twisting.
• Sitting/driving for extended periods of time.
• Able to read tickets and perform work listed.
• Environment: Work in an environment that is not climate controlled. Temperatures range from extremely hot to extremely cold, depending on the season.
• Vision (Near, distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception).
• Sense of sound (Alarms, horns and motorized equipment).
• PPE: Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Safety Glasses, gloves).
