Warehouse Distribution Assistant-2nd Shift

Responsibilities

• Picks orders and operates powered equipment as necessary
• Conducts cycle counts
• Assists with coordination of daily activities of the distribution center
• Locates products to be moved, reports work progress, and identifies problems as they arise
• Initiates improvements in the department through individual efforts and the ideas and input of others
• Provides input to department supervisors and assists in implementing improvements
• Operates equipment as assigned, which may include tractor-trailers, trailer jacks, lift trucks, order pickers, SA’s, power carts, pallet jacks, stretch wrap machines, hand-held RF terminals, and radios
• Assumes lead responsibilities on a temporary basis as required
• Assists with training new department employees as required
• Completes departmental paperwork, including time and inventory reports, manifests, etc.
• Keeps work area neat, clean, organized, and under control
• Responsible for observing safety rules at all times and reporting unsafe conditions to department supervision
• Responsible for quality and safety of own work and compliance of all company procedures and policies
• Responsible for meeting established unit production standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED with at least one year of experience in a distribution center
• Preferred: High school diploma/GED with demonstrated competence in three or more distribution areas, and at least three years experience in a distribution center
