Warehouse Department Manager

Responsibilities

• Directs a team of 30-40 staff members through coaching and professional development.
• Oversees the daily operation of the warehouse, including inventory control, receiving, stocking, replenishments, order filling, shipping, small parcel processing, and other support functions.
• Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.
• Provides leadership in the supportive application of Human Resource Policy and Procedures.
• Resolves member store issues with a strong focus on customer service.
• Works with the management team to resolve staff issues in a timely, fair, and consistent manner.
• Ensures the warehouse operates efficiently and in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Forecasts staffing, workload, and performance results to meet business demands.
• Prepares, reviews, and analyzes reports to identify operational improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience.

About the Role

The Distribution Center (DC) Warehouse Department Manager position leads a team of hourly staff through coaching and professional development to successfully take care of operations supporting member store orders. A successful team member will help drive the operations forward toward new levels of excellence. This team member will partner with others throughout all levels of the warehouse and organization, as well as vendors and members. The top operational priority is ensuring team members work safely while maintaining a proper balance of productivity and quality.
