About the role
The HME Technician is a self-motivated, energetic, and compassionate team member responsible for warehouse operations, package handling, equipment deliveries, patient service, and other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager or Sr. Manager, Operations. This role also supports the maintenance and cleanliness of company vehicles and warehouse facilities. This is a full-time position with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Receives and documents medical supplies/equipment deliveries.
- Verifies all incoming shipments to be accurate by comparing the packing list to the order and ensures all goods are in excellent condition.
- Loads, unloads products, medical supplies/equipment, and stocks shelves as necessary.
- Packs, secures, maintains medical equipment and supplies.
- Maintains assigned company delivery vehicles by completing preventative maintenance requirements and arranging for repairs (weekly interior and exterior upkeep, including weekly car wash).
- Delivers, sets up, and maintains equipment at the delivery address.
- Completes all necessary delivery forms and paperwork including invoices, work orders, manifests, and logs.
- Develops and maintains working knowledge of current products and services offered by the company and all applicable governmental regulations.
- Delivers equipment and oxygen as required in accordance with industry standards and applicable federal, state, and local governmental regulations.
- Assists with company inventory periodically.
- Performs other general warehouse duties as needed.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Preserves safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat.
- Represents the Company in a professional and courteous manner in all interactions with clients/patients.
- Maintains equipment maintenance per manufacturer’s guidelines as directed.
- Assists in resolving client equipment problems (troubleshooting), when appropriate.
- Assumes on-call responsibilities in accordance with Company policy.
- Reports equipment hazards and/or product incidents as required in accordance with Company policy.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2 years’ delivery experience.
- Ability to accurately accomplish objectives.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift, up to 80 pounds.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Qualifications
