About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Warehouse Crane Resolution Operator to join our team. This role is critical to maintaining maximum throughput and uptime for our Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS). Operators monitor crane operations, resolve pallet location errors, and ensure the safe and efficient operation of the system in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Pay

$19/hour

Schedule

2nd Shift: 2 PM – 10:30 PM, working Friday, Saturday, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday every week.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor crane operations via computer screens to identify and resolve pallet location errors or system alerts.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot issues related to crane pickup and delivery to stations.
  • Inspect and remove plastic, cardboard, or other debris from pallets that could interfere with crane functionality.
  • Collaborate with crane mechanics and maintenance teams to resolve ongoing operational issues.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the system, meeting production and safety goals.
  • Perform tasks efficiently and accurately to meet daily productivity and quality targets.
  • Travel around the warehouse on a three- or four-wheel buggy equipped with a laptop to monitor crane status.
  • Use the EMS control center to identify error alerts, review descriptions, and determine the cause of issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues to restore crane functionality and reset the crane via the EMS control center.

Requirements

  • Warehouse experience preferred but not required.
  • Able to lift, walk, bend, and twist for most of the workday.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude.
  • Reliable and willing to work scheduled shifts.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow directions and interact respectfully with associates, co-workers, management, and customers.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner (safety-sensitive position).

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a warehouse associate is preferred.
  • Experience working in a warehouse environment (e.g., order selection, product storage, staging, powered pallet jack/forklifts).
  • Experience with racking systems and loading/unloading pallets (e.g., pulling and placing pallets on/off vertical racking systems).

Work Environment

  • Warehouse environment with exposure to extreme heat and cold temperatures.
  • Moderate to loud work environment requiring the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and alarms.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift, walk, bend, twist, reach, push, and squat for most of the workday.
  • Handle cases weighing from 25 to 95 pounds.
  • Expect to handle between 50 and 200+ pallets on any given day.
