Crane Resolution Operator 2nd Shift

About the role

We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business through our Crane Resolution Specialist position. This role maintains maximum throughput and uptime for the Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS).

Responsibilities

• Maintain maximum throughput and up time for the ASRS.
• Monitor all crane operations from the warehouse floor via computer screen to resolve pallet locations in error status.
• Drive 3-wheeled cart to location of crane issue.
• Investigate and resolve issues found in pick up and delivery by crane to stations.
• May remove plastic or cardboard from pallet that could be causing crane issue.
• Contact crane mechanics to resolve on-going issues.
• Work within the guidelines of safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to lift cases by hand weighing from 25 to 95 pounds and handle between 50 and 200+ pallets.
• Steel toed safety shoes are required.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in a warehouse or distribution setting or knowledge of logistics is preferred but not required.
• Experience operating powered warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts is a plus.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
• Mental reasoning capabilities and mature problem solving skills while managing multiple priorities.
• Interact respectfully and courteously with employees, co-workers, management, customers and vendors.
• Demonstrate safety consciousness and set tone for safe, productive, respectful work environment.
• Demonstrate understanding of preventive measures to reduce freight and property damage.
