About the Role
Convergint is seeking a full-time Warehouse Coordinator to administer and operate the Richmond warehouse. In this role, you will manage efficient shipping, receiving, processing, packaging, storing, and ordering of tools, supplies, materials, and equipment. You will provide project and service support to field colleagues and support office colleagues as needed, contributing to a dynamic team that fosters growth.
Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and store incoming materials, including tools, parts, and equipment; match contents to packing lists and assign to job shelves.
- Visually inspect cartons, packages, and contents for damage from handling and transit.
- Place orders for installation and service projects.
- Handle UPS, FedEx, and other freight carrier deliveries; schedule pick-ups as needed.
- Pack and ship products to vendors, customers, and sub-contractors; create labels and manage shipping as required.
- Process returns, including all Return Materials Authorizations (RMAs); return and ship RMAs as needed.
- Initiate invoicing for the assigned line of business, including pay applications as required.
- Enter security invoices periodically.
- Create and enter all relevant Purchase Orders (POs) into the Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) system (Business Central); update product cost in the material management workbook.
- Perform monthly cycle counts, annual inventory counts, and reconciliation.
- Work with other departments such as Purchasing and Operations to resolve receiving challenges; stay abreast of PO status and resolve issues.
- Pull and stage orders for installers or service technicians.
- Deliver materials and/or documents to customer job sites regularly throughout the week; deliver materials in-house as needed.
- Verify the accuracy of all incoming orders, including counts and quantities; stage orders for pickup.
- Oversee receipt, storage, and shipment of materials and related reporting in accordance with established procedures.
- Locate and file packing slips.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse area; sweep, break down boxes, restock paper products, empty garbage, etc.
- Coordinate building maintenance with building management, vendors, sub-contractors, and in-house colleagues.
- Assist with meeting setups, including moving tables and equipment, as needed.
- Receive on-site credit card orders per colleagues; handle home building supply credit card usage.
- Manage vehicle-related issues, including repairs, maintenance, and service.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of one year of previous, relevant warehousing or shipping/receiving experience preferred.
- Experience in one or more of the following industries is preferred: electronic/electrical, fire alarm & life safety, data-cable installation, and/or building automation.
