Warehouse Coordinator I

About the Role

The Warehouse Coordinator I performs various warehousing functions, including shipping, receiving, making deliveries, and forklift operation. This role assists in all warehouse quality and safety functions to ensure the smooth operations of the company and the safety of company personnel, ensuring all deliveries are made in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily forklift inspection and perform routine forklift operation.
• Receive, verify, and stock products per quality procedures within the Company ERP System.
• Pull inventory items, verify product, package, stage, and/or ship inventory items as requested per company quality procedures within the Company ERP System.
• Safely secure loads prior to and during operation of company vehicles for inventory pickup and delivery.
• Enter freight charges and ship-confirm orders.
• Verify delivery tickets to match product shipping out with the customer’s purchase order and sales order.
• Maintain company trucks, including check-in, check-out, maintenance, and inspections as required.
• Maintain the warehouse in a clean and safe working condition.
• Attend weekly training as permitted by work schedule.
• Report any safety, shipping, delivery, or inventory issues to the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager.
• Operate company vehicles and equipment safely in accordance with all state and local driving regulations while following company safety procedures.
• Communicate professionally with customers as a representative of the company.

Requirements

• High School Education or GED equivalent (preferred).
• TWIC certification (preferred).
• Current Basic OSHA Safety Training (preferred).
• Must have an active driver’s license, be able to travel, and maintain a clear driving record in accordance with company driving guidelines.
• Must pass a clear background check and drug/alcohol screening.

• Basic mechanical aptitude, including knowledge of basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to recognize major valve types and components.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Must report to work on time and maintain consistent attendance.
• Ability to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Essential Physical Functions

• Lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
• Lift and carry 50 pounds for 100 feet.
• Bending, stooping, walking, and climbing stairs.
• Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, or ramps.
• Moving in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces.
• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
• Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
• Communicating with others to exchange information.
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Operating machinery and/or power tools.
• Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
• Able to pass periodic medical evaluations and respirator fit tests to ensure continued compliance with OSHA standards.
