WAREHOUSE COORDINATOR

Stevens Equipment Supply, a member of Daikin Industries, is a wholesale distributor of equipment, parts, and supplies to industries including Residential and Light Commercial Heating & Air Conditioning, Hospitality, and Refrigeration.

About the role

The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the daily functions of warehouse personnel and processes, maintaining inventory, processing deliveries, and ensuring accuracy of shipping and receiving of supplies and parts. This role is accountable for the movement of all materials within the warehouse, overall appearance, and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate forklift and additional warehouse equipment to load, unload, and transfer material and product without causing damage.
• Ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, timely, and with high-quality standards.
• Provide support for internal and external customers.
• Manage warehouse purchasing and inventory with a focus on inventory control and asset protection.
• Complete cycle counts based on SOX requirements.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of paperwork and transaction entries.
• Maintain warehouse and forklift by following good housekeeping and safety procedures, including pre- and post-shift forklift inspections.
• Alert manager of any concerns immediately.
• Provide training and guidance to warehouse associates.
• Work with the branch manager to ensure effective and positive employee relations within the warehouse.
• Manage and ensure accuracy of warehouse employee timekeeping.
• Assist customers and CSRs as needed.
• Follow standard operating procedures, established work processes, and company policies.
• Wear proper PPE and uniform at all times.
• Perform additional tasks as required.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive warehouse experience, including forklift operations.
• Knowledge of computer systems within the warehouse, including MS Outlook and database applications.
• Ability to safely and efficiently operate a forklift and additional tools for loading and transferring products.
• Working knowledge of warehouse operations, including safety protocols.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to read and interpret work instructions, customer orders, product names, and numbers.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work as a team and motivate others.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Ability to establish positive working relationships with internal and external customers and employees.
• Ability to handle high-volume customer traffic via phone, walk-ins, and email.
• Strong work ethic, integrity, and good judgment.
• Ability to understand and follow procedures, work instructions, and company policies.
• Knowledge of HVAC equipment/products is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent; college education is preferred.
• Must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future.
