About the role
This role serves as a key point of coordination between Sales, Quality Control, customers, transportation carriers, warehouse personnel, and operations teams to ensure efficient and accurate order fulfillment.
Responsibilities
- Process all stock orders by preparing cut paperwork and updating system records to accurately reflect materials being prepared for shipment.
- Verify that all shipments comply with customer packaging specifications and requirements.
- Review shipping documentation for accuracy and completeness, including manifests, packing lists, air bills, bills of lading, quality reports, and related documents.
- Confirm shipment contents, including total footage, length requirements, labeling, reel sizes, wrapping, and other customer-specific requirements, ensuring orders are fulfilled accurately.
- Communicate any shipment discrepancies or concerns promptly to appropriate personnel.
- Assign carrier pickups and coordinate daily transportation schedules.
- Support cycle counting activities and assist with inventory control processes to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Audit warehouse personnel for compliance with Quality Checklists, standard operating procedures, and company policies.
- Perform quality audits and inspections as required and report concerns directly to the Warehouse Manager or Manufacturing Manager.
- Coordinate Quality Control documentation requests and ensure requested documentation is provided by the Quality Control Department.
- Process customer sample requests in a timely manner.
- Communicate regularly with Inside Sales, Quality, Shipping, Information Technology, and Accounting teams to resolve system issues, discrepancies, and operational concerns.
- Maintain a close working relationship with Accounting by ensuring shipping documentation is submitted for invoicing on a daily basis and that invoicing-related system records are properly maintained.
- Prepare metal tags and product identification materials required to meet customer specifications.
- Process stock transfers between the East Granby facility and remote warehouse locations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Additional education beyond high school is preferred.
- Experience working with inventory systems, shipping documentation, warehouse operations, or related functions is preferred.
- Strong aptitude for working with numbers, reports, and computer-based systems.

- Proficiency with computer systems, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office applications preferred.

- Ability to lift and move materials as required to support warehouse operations.
