About the role

This role coordinates shipping and receiving activities, ensures accurate documentation and inventory control, and works closely with internal teams and external suppliers to maintain a smooth and efficient supply chain operation in a construction warehouse.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the construction warehouse and ensure materials are stored safely, efficiently, and in accordance with specific storage requirements.
  • Coordinate the receiving of materials by working closely with buyers, invoice reconcilers, coordinators, and external suppliers and vendors.
  • Inspect all incoming materials upon arrival for damage or discrepancies and document all inspections thoroughly.
  • Provide accurate receiving documentation to the invoice reconciler to verify material receipt and support timely invoice processing.
  • Organize and maintain inventory control, including tracking, counting, and reconciling materials to ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Perform and coordinate shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading trucks, verifying shipments, and preparing materials for dispatch.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move, pick, pack, and stage materials safely and efficiently.
  • Coordinate necessary preventative maintenance for materials and equipment with appropriate leads and coordinators until installation and turnover.
  • Gather, input, modify, consolidate, and distribute various documents and reports as directed to support warehouse and project operations.
  • Collaborate with team members and work independently as needed to meet deadlines and project schedules.
  • Multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks related to shipping, receiving, inventory, and documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • 0–3 years of related experience in warehouse coordination, shipping and receiving, or inventory control.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including verifying and documenting incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
  • Experience with inventory control, including tracking, counting, and reconciling stock.
  • Hands-on experience with picking, packing, loading, and packaging materials.
  • Ability to operate pallet jacks and similar material-handling equipment.
  • Understanding of basic supply chain and warehouse operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a construction or project-based warehouse environment is beneficial.
  • Comfort with gathering, inputting, modifying, and consolidating data and documentation to support operational reporting.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, coordinators, and suppliers.
  • Attention to detail in inspecting materials, documenting issues, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Organizational skills to maintain orderly storage areas and efficient material flow.
  • Adaptability to changing project needs, schedules, and priorities.

Work Environment

This role is based in a construction-focused warehouse environment that involves regular physical activity, including standing, walking, lifting, and operating material-handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. The Warehouse Coordinator works around stored materials, packaging supplies, and shipping and receiving areas, and may be exposed to varying temperatures and typical warehouse noise levels. Work is generally performed during standard business hours, with the need to align with project schedules and delivery timelines. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and teamwork, and attire is typically practical and suitable for warehouse and equipment operation.

Job Type & Location

This is a contract, fully onsite position based in Forest Park, GA.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
