Warehouse Coordinator (1st shift)
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assistant Warehouse Clerk to support daily warehouse operations. In this role, you will assist with receiving, inventory management, material handling, and shipping activities to ensure accurate and timely support of production and customer requirements. This position contributes to maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and safety in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Warehouse Support: Assist with daily warehouse operations including receiving, stocking, picking, staging, and shipping of materials.
- Inventory Assistance: Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical verification, and system updates.
- Shipping & Receiving: Assist with inbound and outbound shipments by verifying materials, checking documentation, and preparing items for shipment.
- Material Handling: Safely move materials using pallet jacks, carts, or forklifts (as trained) while following proper storage and handling procedures.
- System Transactions: Enter and update inventory transactions in ERP or warehouse management systems to maintain accurate records.
- Documentation: Help complete receiving logs, shipping paperwork, and inventory records; report discrepancies to warehouse leadership.
- Quality Checks: Inspect materials for damage or non-conformance and escalate issues as needed.
- Safety & Housekeeping: Follow all safety guidelines, wear required PPE, and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse workspace.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED
- Previous warehouse or inventory experience preferred
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain)
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory or warehouse systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
