About the role
The Warehouse/Commissary Worker at CoreCivic assists with various tasks in the warehouse and commissary settings, including managing inventory, handling orders, and maintaining security.
Responsibilities
- Receives, stores, and inventories stock, supplies, and equipment for the commissary and facility operations.
- Accurately routes and stores goods and cleaning chemicals according to sanitation standards and codes.
- Prepares materials for shipment and processes commissary sales transactions.
- Verifies and delivers pulled orders to inmates/residents, maintaining up-to-date inventories.
- Maintains confidentiality and security of records, and communicates effectively with various stakeholders.
- Controls access to equipment and supplies, and conducts counts of inmates/residents working in the area.
- Supervises and directs assigned inmates/residents, and coordinates the movement of inmates/residents.
Requirements
- High School diploma, GED certification, or equivalent.
- One year of experience in warehouse/commissary operations, including inventory management.
- Ability to operate hand truck, forklift, or pallet jacks.
- Valid driver's license.
- Minimum age of 20 years.
