About the role
2nd Shift: 3:00 p.m. - 11:45 p.m. Hourly Rate: $16.50 + $1.00 per hour shift differential.
Responsibilities
- Cycle counts
- Quality inspections
- Replenish inventory
- Coordinate consolidation of inventory for specific accounts, label and prepare for shipment
- Fulfill customer orders, pull inventory, and package for shipment
- Report work orders utilizing Smart Bin, AME/Frontier
- Use Frontier programs to monitor inventory and balance accounts
- Track and log product inventory, ensuring there are no discrepancies
- Inspect orders being received and shipped, checking for damage, defective parts, and missing items
- Ensure that the quantity and description of the product being shipped matches the customer’s order
- Report and return damaged product
- Palletize orders for shipment
- Operate forklift or other machinery required for transporting large orders and heavy products
- Participate in cross-training within and outside of home department; includes learning various machines/equipment and training others through sharing of knowledge and skill
- Perform general housekeeping duties to keep work areas clean and free of debris; includes basic recycling of materials
- Dispose of hazardous and all other waste materials in accordance with regulatory policy and procedure
- Report all unsafe activities to Plant Manager, Safety Director, or Human Resources
- Comply with all safety and environmental rules, regulations, and guidelines, including PPE (Personal Prote Equipment) requirements
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as required to support the company's mission, values, and goals
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 1-3 years warehouse or related experience preferred
- Ability to organize, set priorities, meet deadlines, and perform multi-tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; good command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Good reading, spelling, and comprehension skills
- Must be computer literate
- Must have a good understanding of basic math functions
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Ability to take accurate measurements using rulers, tapes, gauges, and other tools
- Ability to take direction and work well with others
- Ability to meet daily production goals
- Must be able to meet production demands in a fast-paced environment and work Monday-Friday production shift hours with mandatory overtime, including Saturdays
- Must be punctual and have good attendance
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Ability to be on your feet, standing and/or walking, for the duration of your shift
- Ability to move large quantities of product with carts, buckets, dollies, hand trucks, or other moving equipment
- Ability to perform actions such as bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, reaching overhead, climbing up and down a ladder, lifting, and repetitive motion
- May be required to handle material up to 50 pounds in weight
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment around machinery or equipment with moving parts
- Could be exposed to dust, noise, or hazardous materials
